Dear Second Grade Families,

We have another shortened week as we begin our week on a Tuesday! The homework packet for this week has been modified. And the Tuesday folder will be a Wednesday or Thursday folder this week.

IN THE CLASSROOM…
STUDENT OF THE WEEK…Taylor
RELIGION: loving God and others by making good choices and following rules at home and school. We will continue to learn about the mass.
READING: Chapter books, reading for fluency and comprehension.
SPELLING: No new unit for this week, but we will review and catch up.
LANGUAGE ARTS:  rhyming; ABC order; punctuation and grammar; creative writing; cursive handwriting. (We’re still working on finishing up the lower case letters, and will begin to learn as many capitals as possible).
MATH: Adding and subtracting facts to 20; Addition and subtraction facts with regrouping; working with 3 digit numbers
