Hello Giacolone Families 🙂
We have had a wonderful start to this school year!
I enjoyed Back to School Night…and I sincerely appreciated everyone’s patience and kindness! I have answers to the questions asked that night.
- We will have spelling tests on Fridays starting next week (9/30).
- We will be going on field trips (possibly 2). As of right now the field trips are to be determined.
- VIRTUS Classes…last week Mrs. Hahn and Mrs. Benner sent an email to all Sacred Heart School families with information on VIRTUS class requirements.
Homework this week will consist of a family project as well as reading and filling out a reading log. I will be sending home the family project today (Monday 9/19), so you can get started on it.
Upcoming Events and Information:
- Art begins for us this Tuesday at 1:00 with Ms. Sofer.
- I will be sending home a “Share Bag” this week. We will be sharing next week.
- I will be sending home the Homework Folder this week. I ask that your child read 20 minutes at least 5 days a week.
- I will be sending home the “Family Project” (VIP Poster) today. You will find information regarding the VIP Poster attached to the poster board.
- This Friday, September 23rd is a 2:00 dismissal.
- Virtual Guest: We are extremely blessed to be joining Mrs. Driscoll’s class for a Virtual Visit from favorite author, Shannon Olsen! She will be visiting us via Zoom to speak about writing one of the books we read at the beginning of the year. I will be sending home information on Tuesday, 9/20 about our author visit!
