“ It was very cool and awesome, ”says Jeweliana Rodriguez , a second grader who attends Sacred Heart School. It was Monday, September 9 , 2019 a lady dressed as a ladybug arrived to the Sacred Heart School campus. The second grade class was waiting anxiously in the library. Lunch had just ended and it was very unusual that they went to the library instead of back to the classroom. The class noticed a lady dressed as a ladybug walking into the library, “Hi, everybody my name is Lady bug Lucy,” said the lady after the class introduced themselves.

Lucy started to teach the class all about insects. She did this in a fun way by handing out coloring books and jars with dead insects. After the “breaking the ice” activities, Lucy set up four stations. The second grader Jeweliana says that the puppet station was the best! After the class finished all the stations and activities it was time to say, “Bye friends, hope you have an awesome day”. Jeweliana says that she was never bored and would love to do it again. “Overall I would say that it was a great experience and I would love to have Lucy come again,” says  Mrs. Espinosa, the second grade teacher.
