It was wonderful to see so many parents at our Showcase and Sweets event last week.
This will be a relatively quiet week, with School Families meeting for an activity on Friday morning. There is no Music class on Wednesday.
Our week ahead:
ACADEMICS
- Religion: We will be continuing the Beatitudes learning what it means to be clean of heart and to hunger and thirst for righteousness.
- Social studies: We will continue learning how cities and the economy grew during the Gold Rush.
- Science: We will discuss ways that humans can conserve our ecosystems.
- Spelling: New sort this week! Spelling test on Thursday.
- RRJ Week #26 Nonfiction selections
- Math: We continue Unit 8, focusing on formulas for areas of rectangles, parallelograms, and triangles. Students continue making journal corrections.
- Writer’s Workshop: We are writing Compare and Contrast essays, first using two similar objects, and then using two works of literature.
