THE WEEK AHEAD:
Students will come home on Tuesday with progress reports for the first trimester. Please sign the report and send it back to school by Friday the 6th.
The eighth graders continue selling bottled water on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. This Friday is a half-day.
HOMEWORK (due Monday): Students should complete ixL Math skills A 3 and A 7, as well as Language skill A 9. Students will be doing Fluency week 6. Please initial the sheet each time they read. They are to do 20-30 minutes of reading each night (please initial all reading done at home).
DAILY WORK

Math: We continue unit 2, and are focusing on addition and subtraction strategies.

Writing Workshop: We are drafting scenes for our stories.
Spelling: We are completing the review unit (#6). There will be no formal test this week.
Vocabulary: We begin our work on Unit 4; the test will be next Friday.
Grammar: We conclude our study of types of sentences. We will have a test on Unit One on Friday. There are review activities on sadlierconnect.com.

Science: We are learning about the characteristics of water ecosystems.
