Dear Third Grade Families,

Wednesday is Donut Day! All pre-order sales are over. Students will be able to enjoy 1 donut on the 23rd with the rest bagged up to take home.

This week we’ll be studying the following:

Math: Tuesday is our second math test. It will cover Unit 2 content. Then, we will move on to Unit 3 (Measurement!!!) with lessons 3.1, 3.2 & 3.3. Feel free to follow along with us at www.everydaymathonline.com. Your child’s username and password can be found in his/her planner.

For IXL math homework, please complete the following Second Grade Review skills:

Grade 2 Math: S.2 Which customary unit of length is appropriate?

Grade 2 Math: S. 13 Choose the appropriate measuring tool.

Vocabulary: This week we complete Unit 5.

Reading: The class will continue our second novel, Sarah, Plain and Tall, with an emphasis on making inferences.

English: We will have a Unit 1 Test on Thursday.

Science: In class, we will continue to study “Chemical Changes” in matter (Ch. 7.2) focusing on examples of chemical changes.

Social Studies: We will continue “California’s First People.”
