Dear Parents, June 10, 2012
As we quickly approach the end of the school year, we are in constant review and wrap up of all subjects!
We will continue our work on our second Writers Workshop, with the topic of recess in the hopes that we will finish shortly. In our Centers this week we will be working on our “Story Writes” (our own short stories), watch a Readers Theatre Performance in the Library with Kindergarten and Second Grade, and celebrate Flag Day on Thursday!
In math, we will be practice subtracting from 13 all the way to 20. We will continue with our review of animals, their environments, needs, and structures as we continue our zoo report in class (So far they are doing a fantastic job!) We will wrap up Social Studies this week through the continued work on our My World Near and Far book. In religion, we will focus on Family Peace.
Announcements for the week:
- We will pick an All About Me on Monday! (I forgot with Primary Centers! Oops!)
- Please remind your student to bring their library book on Tuesday so that they may check out another one. This will be the last time to go the library for us!
- Water bottle sales continue on Tuesday and Thursday for $1.
- Friday is a noon dismissal!
