Dear Third Grade Families,

The Spring Program was a hit! The third grade couldn’t have sounded better and the students had a great time. By all definitions, this was a success.

Thank you to all of those who donated canned food and other non-perishable items for the fifth grade’s trip to the Food Share. I am sure that it will all go to good use and is much appreciated by those in need.

This week we will begin moving on from fractions and onto multiplying and dividing larger numbers. Some extra credit was sent home with the weekly homework. This is optional but a good opportunity. Students may complete select problems for partial credit if they so choose.

Wednesday afternoon we have a special guest teacher from the Ventura County Children’s Art Celebration. We will be “printing with the sun” in a study of one of the oldest types of photography – cyanotypes. This should be a lot of fun!

Wednesday is a Free Dress Day for $1. All money will be donated to our designated charity for this third trimester (Holy Childhood Association). Wednesday night is the PTC pizza dinner and slide show starting from 5:45-7:45. Students will also have a chance to see the slide show Thursday afternoon at 1:15.

This week is a short one. School will not be in session Friday 3/27 and the following Monday in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

Have a great week and holiday!

Best,

Mrs. Espinosa
