Hello Third Grade Families,

We have another big week before us: In-N-Out & Dippin’ Dots will be here this Friday! All meals must be pre-ordered & today is the very last day to do so if you’d like. Parents and families are welcome to join students as they eat on the grass out in front of the Hall. Bring blankets and lawn chairs for a picnic lunch if you do. Pre-ordered tickets for guests will be distributed on a table outside. Students will receive their tickets in class. Lunch will be served at 11:30 beginning with Kinder and moving from class to class.

Math: The class continues with Chapter 9: Multiplication and Division, Part III. This week the class will be introduced to two different ways of finding products. Today the students were introduced to the “partial-products method.” If you are unfamiliar with the “partial-products algorithm,” below is a video link with step-by-step directions. Cut and paste into your web browser to view.
