Sneak Peek to our Academic Week

math: This week we will work on learning some quick tricks/shortcuts with multiplication to help build our fact fluency. Then, we will begin discussing the relations between multiplication & division using fact families;
3 x 4= 12
4 x 3 =12
12/3=4
12/4=3

reading: This week we will work on how to build our comprehension by reading NF texts, by creating boxes & bullets notes after we read a section our non-fiction texts. Then, we will work to determine the main ideas & support details found in our non-fiction reading.

writing: We will spend the next 2 weeks with creative writing!

word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner or on their Kids A-Z app. Our spelling tests are scheduled for this Friday.

religion: This week we focus on the second week of Advent and it’s theme, peace. How can we work to be peacemakers in this time of Advent? We continue adding to The Jesse Tree, too! On Thursday, we will be attending Mass for The Feat of The Immaculate Conception. If your schedule allows, please come join us! 🙂

(S)cience(T)echnology(E)nginnering(M)ath: We will work on constructing tall & sturdy Christmas trees only using gum drops & toothpicks!

Have a great week!
