Sneak peek to our academic week:

Math: We continue on with unit 6. This week we will focus on quadrangles, polygons, drawing and measuring angles!

Reading: This week in our character studies we will explore the idea that stories are shaped like mountains. As we explore that, we will keep track of the ups and downs of the main character in Because of Winn Dixie, as well as in our own texts!

Writing: This week in our writing, we continue to explore the different strategies when opinion writing. We will also work towards persuading people in our writing, making them think and act in particular ways. By doing that, we need to think about our audience and work to reach that audience by addressing them directly.

Spelling: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner and spellingcity.com. Spelling tests are scheduled for this Friday.

Religion: This week in religion we wrap up unit 10. We will also spend some time reflecting on our SLEs. We have another stations of the cross on Friday at 12:45. Come join us if your schedule allows!

Science: Mystery Science! This week we explored the mystery, how long can humans (and animals) survive in outer space?

Have a wonderful week,

Miss Poindexter
