Happy Valentine’s Day!

Our week in 4th grade…

Math: We are wrapping up our Unit 5. We aim to take our test by the end of the week. Please encourage your student to look back at our math journal pages to review for our test.

ELA:

-Writing: We are continuing our writing. We are getting to the end of our drafting stage. We will be looking at how to end our drafts and prepare for our next type of essay – persuasive.

-Reading: We are working on our nonfiction unit. Please help by encouraging nonfiction books at home! We are writing 7 sentences in cursive for our second trimester RRJ. Remember nightly homework is to read 20-30 minutes but our RRJ is 1 time a week. This week is a nonfiction response. Please encourage your student to follow the guide we worked on in class.

-Spelling: Please check your student’s daily planner for their spelling words this week.

Social Studies: We are still working on our mission projects this week but this week we also begin the construction of our missions!

Science: We are moving on to our next lesson in our science books. We will move from looking at food chains to food webs.

Religion: This week we will complete our Virtus lessons. Thank you to all for returning your permission slips.
