Dear Kindergarten Families,
Read nightly spending time on picture cues as well as the words. Talk over events or facts in the story or nonfictional text. List on Reading Log. Your child is bringing home a Young Explorer Magazine to read and keep at home- use information on Leaf Cutter Ants to complete a couple worksheets.
I am including two math games we have practiced in class. One is a coin flip – work on recognizing heads or tails on a penny, nickel and dime. Record with tally marks. A good counting skill! A game on the 110 grid to play as well. Help your child remember how useful that grid is! Use the rows and columns to add by ones and tens.

This is a week’s worth of homework. Read nightly for 20 minutes – spend about 10 minutes each night on a worksheet or ixl. If your child has mastered the ixl skills above….work on a skill in section E or T that presents a challenge.
No extra sites this week. Enjoy your weekend!
