Congratulations to our Second Grade friends for receiving their First Communion on Saturday. It was a beautiful day!

NO HOMEWORK – read for fun

A SNEAK PEEK AT OUR ACADEMICS

READING:  We are learning how to work in our reading groups by reading parts of our book out loud to each other, practicing using the different strategies we have learned (rereading, scooping words into longer phrases, talking like the character, making our voice match the mood, and reading with a just-right pace), and providing feedback.

SPELLING: No new sorts or spelling tests this week.

MATH: We completed Unit 7 and will take the Unit 7 Assessment on Wednesday.

RELIGION: We are learning about Holy Week and the significance of Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter.
