The sixth grade is starting to learn about ancient peoples and their many beliefs. After reading about some creatures from the past the students created their own beast. Then they wrote about why they existed and described how they looked. Some were very frightening and some were adorable!

As the 8th grade class begins United States history we are examining the 13 colonies. The students worked in groups to compare and contrast the different colonies and their regions. Next we will learn about the various acts that prompted the American Revolution.
The sixth grade class is beginning their lessons in history. We will study archaeology, Early Humans, Ancient Greece, China, Egypt and Rome. To help put all the great civilizations in perspective we worked on timelines and dates in history. The students aligned themselves in order with dates from 10,000 B.C.E to 2018.
The 8th Grade Leaders are preparing for Friday’s student assembly! They plan to announce birthdays and coming school events, share with the students and staff about the importance of Labor Day, and remind everyone about how we recycle properly while we are at school.
